SEA SHELLS BY THE BEACH. Some years ago when walking on the coast path from Ventnor to Bonchurch,we came upon intriguing steps going up to a gate leading into a hidden garden. The thought of living there was beguiling, so we were delighted to find a box of leaflets saying that the place was available as a holiday let. The leaflet stayed in a desk drawer for several years but thinking of somewhere in England to go this year, it was found and a booking made with the charming Annabelle. What a gem! Annabelle has created the ideal beach cottage, superbly comfortable,pristine and as well equipped as you could wish. The only sound is the sea and one can stretch out on a long chair in total privacy, though able to watch the ships passing by. Annabelle takes infinite trouble to ensure her guests have everything they need and have a wonderful time. We have already booked another week later in the year. Christopher and Gail.
